I remember seeing a clip on an Atheism channel of a young black adult saying he didn’t know “not believing in god” was “an option” growing up You can imagine- a culture+community where some amount of religious belief is so ubiquitous, that disbelief is completely out of conscious reach reach So, the point?

That regardless of how you feel about religion, the above describes how nearly all westerners’ relationship with Democracy. I’ve spent my life as a blasphemer, and in the West, Democracy is one of our most sacred idols “How can you be anti democracy? So you’re for totalitarianism?”

You grew up in a milieu where seriously doubting Democracy was *never available to you* I’m asking people to consciously recognize this, and follow their own thoughts from there Maybe current Western style Democracy is a monstrously cruel thing to inflict on a People, and that’s the point
