My take on CEXs:
People love to criticize centralized exchanges for not being “crypto enough.”
Fair. DEXs are more transparent and aligned with the ethos.
But the truth is simple : CEXs still run the onboarding.
Most newcomers start with a CEX link, buy their first token, then explore. The UX is easy, familiar, and less confusing than wallets and gas fees.
For projects too, CEXs are still lifelines. Most don’t have big budgets. They need visibility, traders, and liquidity to survive. Tier-1s cost millions, so tier-2/3 fill the gap.
Shady CEXs misusing funds? Zero tolerance. Exchanges must be solvent and 1:1 backed.
DEXs will grow, sure - but today, CEXs still matter.
