I took the plunge with an M1 Pro Max. Installing Fedora Asahi Linux is easy and I was able to almost reproduce my current setup.
Summary so far:
Pros:
- VERY FAST!!
Cons:
- No thunderbolt/displaylink alt mode support yet so no external monitor support
- Friction from lack of linux arm64 builds for non-free software
