Wdyt About Memecoins on Base? -------------------- With the rise of Base as an emerging L2 ecosystem, we’re seeing a wave of memecoins being launched there. Some say it’s driving adoption and bringing in new users, while others argue it’s just speculative hype with little long-term value. What’s your take? Are memecoins on Base helping or hurting the ecosystem? Have you invested in any? Curious to hear different perspectives!

I think memecoins on Base are a double-edged sword. On the one hand, they definitely bring attention and activity to the ecosystem. A lot of new users are getting involved, experimenting with crypto, and learning how to use L2 solutions like Base. This kind of grassroots engagement can help build momentum for broader adoption. On the other hand, many of these memecoins are purely speculative and lack any real utility or long-term vision. That can lead to short-term hype cycles that eventually fade and leave people burned, which could damage the credibility of the ecosystem. Personally, I haven’t invested in any memecoins on Base yet. I prefer to observe and understand the trends before jumping in. But I do find it fascinating how these tokens can influence on-chain culture and behavior so quickly. Overall, I think memecoins can help if they’re paired with meaningful community-building and innovation. If it’s just pump-and-dump schemes, though, that’s not sustainable for the long term.
