Slate Auto wants to make EV trucks that cost $25k when everyone else is charging $75k. Here's how the hell they're pulling it off https://sherwood.news/tech/slate-auto-ceo-chris-barman-tells-us-how-exactly-its-making-a-usd25-000-ev/

i have a pretty hard time believing Tesla didn't almost nail cost efficiency already no one knows how to manufacture like Musk. just look at the process they use for the Cybertruck chassis. composites are not a money-saver; i don't know where that idea is coming from. stamping sheet metal is far cleaner, cheaper and faster and requires fewer materials and tools. composites are usually used for stiffness, weight-savings, or heat tolerance in premium vehicles https://youtu.be/JS2-h83O7zM?si=nyYNYqINTn1nEWKF
