When you see the opposite viewpoint, your first reaction should not be "how is it possible", but a curious and tolerant attitude. I haven't done this well myself, and I have limitations. I am still slowly reviewing it.
Carefully explore the "why", sort out the boundaries and limitations of things, take the essence and discard the dross. This mentality can sometimes make people really progress.
