Not presently, no. The forthcoming DEGEN farcaster client might convince me otherwise but, as of this moment, I prefer tipping with actual money in real time. Airdrop 2 distribution comes with ethical baggage I don’t have bandwidth for. Just take my money 🤭

we can let the old tipping model go without controversy, update it, and redeploy with the right safeguards

So essentially, you'd opt for a model where tips can be redeemed instantly or just show up in wallets. Like the one noice built. The degen app might implement that, but at the cost of no more locks.

I’m saying allowance based tips - wherein people spend money they don’t own and often don’t deserve - is less effective than a simpler model wherein people invest money they own (not merely control). We forgot that airdrop2 is a distribution scheme for unreleased degen. Not free money to give to yourself, directly or otherwise. It’s Degen’s money and we were investing it with /permission/

I admit that the user based tips have proved to be more effective than allowance based, atleast for the past month. But if allowances get scrapped off then which model would be used to distribute the unreleased Degen. I know raindrops will be one of them. Also, you said something about investments I didn't quite catch.

dunno. there are many ways to distribute tokens. we aren’t beholden to any particular model/ method. could be an improved allowance system; something more easily regulated. or something entirely different and not-to-do with tipping or even farcaster. those deep roads don’t define us we are degens

In that case, I'd like to see which innovation wins in the end. Failing to think outside the box had me shortsighted. I see that now. The hat stays on.
