Isn't that a good thing though? Have multi-polaristic cultural norms that are forks of the parent culture (e.g think Arab american culture, or Indian american culture) vs just American culture.
That way there is diversity whilst not compromising consensus mechanisms (cause the cultures are so 180 deg diff).
