#monochrome-monday #mono — 56 T E K T O N by @studioyorktown From time to time I really enjoy to collect from my list of bookmarks on @objktcom, like this playful geometric experiment by Bruce collected today, more than 3 years after its release. From the artist's description: Tekton - ancient Greek word referring to an artisan or craftsman, often specifically to a builder and or architect. An evolution of an experiment involving a well-known brand of toy building bricks, 'Tekton' began specifically with the exploration of a pair of angled bricks which inspired the idea of 'slices' and offsets of cubes. Here these are viewed isometrically and arranged to create interesting massing and pseudo-architectural compositions. While any kind of inhabitation or circulation in such a structure is quite impossible, viewers are still invited to try to 'make sense' of the arrangement regardless, which can sometimes result in meditative moments (although not guaranteed!) @tezos
