I recently decided to check what my middle school frens are up to. Lets start with the smartest kid—u know, the one loved and nurtured by all the teachers. The motherfucker that was blessed to be from a successful progressive family. He spent five years in medical school..and is currently a pharmacists. A fucking pharmacist. No offence to anyone exercising this profession. I was expecting more. Living proof that drive and agency matter more than "school" smarts.

Next is The Gang. U know, every class has them—a bunch of cocky little brats that are average at school and tend to spend disproportionate amount of time playing sports. I was one of them. Most went to study computer science, some MBA/marketing, few physics. This gang alone can assemble a whole IT department. From what I'm seeing, we have some full stack devs, one infrastructure/systems engineer, one security researcher and two founders. The motherfuckers don't disappoint. I'm proud of all of them.

Then there's the lubricator. She was pretty average in school but was up in the ass of every teacher so naturally got straight A's. Ended up in law school. Currently interns as a lawyer in local law firm. She's done well. I'm proud of her.
