Current thinking on best practices for chat/agent UI: ❌ GUI app with chat UI embedded (notion assistant, amazon rufus) ❌ Chat based app only (chatgpt.com, copilot) ✅ GUI app and Chat app that share common data (obsidian, google calendar) I prefer to use a GUI when I'm on my laptop or have a few min to get something ...

This resonates a lot. When you can research and build 10 ideas at once, having good discipline and intuition is so important. Need to work on this
In the age of Claude Code, I have found myself thinking about trigger discipline.Essentially, you keep your finger in the high register state. Better situational awareness overall. Why must one have trigger discipline? Part of it is, it is just so easy to pull the trigger. And to keep pulling the trigger over and over

couple recent "aha" moments with openclaw 1. it can set up automations fast. I built a custom workflow a few weeks ago to scape web links, summarize and triage it (took a couple days). openclaw set it up in a few minutes 2. calendar management with voice is great. Especially useful in group chats for shared calendars

how much would you pay to avoid doomscrolling X? I built an openclaw skill to find out for myself. It uses X's new pay-per-use api to give summary reports on the most relevant posts, multiple times per day. Stay up to date without getting caught in the algo

the best part about using openclaw is the part where I spend 30 minutes navigating the google cloud dashboard trying to figure out how to set up a calendar app

most interesting thing about clawdbot for me is less so the tech and more so the ecosystem that formed around it. The range and quality of apps on these chat platforms is what will differentiate them

@balajis File over app is true for businesses too. As LLMs continuously consume all available knowledge and make it easy to copy anything, private execution at the edge is a competitive advantage. If your business has any unique ideas, they should be local files.

its annoying how custom mcp apps in claude require a paid subscription meanwhile side loading a chatgpt app requires going into a pretty heavy handed developer mode guess there's no getting around the new claude/openai app stores
