Why smart contract escrow matters for card games:
Traditional online gaming: you deposit money, the platform holds it, you trust them to pay you.
Card Sharkie on @BuildOnBase: you deposit ETH into a smart contract. Code holds it. Winner gets paid automatically. No one can touch your funds except the contract logic.
That's the difference between trust and trustless.
