The Kingdom of Bhutan has announced a commitment to allocate up to 10,000 BTC, equivalent to approximately $1 billion, to fund the development of the special administrative zone — the “city of consciousness” of Gelephu (GMC) in the south of the country.
Bhutan will allocate up to 10,000 BTC for the development of GMC.
The country uses the first cryptocurrency as a strategic reserve for national prosperity.
According to the King of Bhutan, every citizen will be a beneficiary of the crypto city.
