I haven’t slept this peacefully in a long time.
Yesterday marked a year since my dad passed.
To honour him, I bought akara and gave it to beggars, like people do for remembrance.
Later that afternoon, I dozed off around 1PM.
In my dream, people tried to give me akara. Just as I was about to collect it, my roommate woke me to tell me my phone needed charging.
That’s when it hit me, something didn’t feel right.
I got scared.
So at night, I prayed.
Not my usual 3-minute, rushed prayers.
I read seven Bible chapters on protection.
I worshipped. I cried. I begged God with my whole heart.
And I prayed with my name: Oluwapelumi — God is with me.
I said, “God, You promised to be with me through my name. Please come through for me.”
Guess who slept peacefully?🤭❤️, been like a while I slept well but last night was different.
