incentives taste better when they’re stacked right and SUP is a fat, juicy defi burger where every layer compounds user behavior and rewards it. let me explain: the protocol is the bun: superfluid moneystreams, real-time programmable money that just flows every second. the sauce is SPR seasons and other token rewards: it holds the bun and apps together because earning rewards shouldn’t feel like homework. It should feel smooth, just like any good sauce. The meat is the juicy application layer: miniapps, labs forge, alfafrens, superboring, and more. each one designed to incentivize behavior, observe it and reward it. and the cheese? that’s us, the team, the comms, the community. everything that makes the system coherent and sticky. so next time you hear the bears saying defi is hard, show them this.

not sure if i'm the only one who sees it but there's a trend in defi post hyperliquid around the gamification of risk teams are designing points systems where getting liquidated is more profitable than actually using the product to win. users are rewarded for reckless behavior because it generates activity metrics that look good on paper and outsized revenue for the team just let people buy your token folks, it's not that deep

crypto community incentive models, ranked from least to most effective for long-term retention: 1. static airdrops. rewards past action with a one-time event. This creates a transactional relationship focused on a single payday. mercenary af. 2. seasonal points. rewards activity over a defined period. this is an improvement, as it requires sustained effort and you can iterate. however, token and price impacts are still rough. 3. vested rewards. aligns incentives over a longer time horizon by unlocking value gradually and giving options to self-select into categories. this is the strongest model of the three, as it helps you reward users with long-term conviction the most. the ultimate model is continuous, real-time rewards. iterate and align incentives every second, not just once

Hey Farcaster—today’s a milestone: we’re launching $DAU. I want to share why @dau exists, how it mobilizes users, and where we’re headed next. 1. Why DAU? Crypto needs a simple way to mobilize real users around tasks that move their ecosystems forward. DAU lets any mini app convert an onchain action—mint, swap, vote, you name it—into a task with a clear reward. The result is that effort flows to the places that create the most value for the DAU ecosystem. 2. How it works Today, DAU works with mini apps to publish tasks on their behalf. Starting next week, we'll be starting to onboard the first wave of mini apps to create tasks for DAU users. DAU is going to be experimenting with user claim fees and mini app fees and redirect it to token holders in some manner. A lot of this will be trial and error to make sure we get the right sustainable formula. 3. Flyhweel We’re using $DAU to keep everyone rowing in the same direction: - Dev grants: Seed $DAU to builders who create high‑value tasks. - User rewards: Distribute $DAU to new and valuable users who complete them. - Revenue share: Developers and users generate fees for providing value to the DAU ecosystem. If it works, the token becomes the growth engine: more tasks → more users → higher earnings for $DAU holders → more tasks → repeat. 4. What’s next We’re already building a family of synergistic mini‑apps that plug directly into DAU—each one unlocking new task types and fresh revenue streams for $DAU. Expect updates in the coming week (my team will tackle me if I say more right now). Stoked to become DAUs with you all on Farcaster. Let’s build.
