A rainbow is a natural phenomenon that occurs when sunlight passes through water droplets and breaks up. This phenomenon is usually seen after rain or near waterfalls. When sunlight hits a drop of water, it is first refracted, then reflected inside the drop and refracted again as it exits the drop.
