If you use AI to manage cryptographic keys, that’s basically regulatory capture at this point. The primary use of cryptography going forward is to regulate AI. Stark choice: move at the speed of AI and maintain an illusion of cryptographic security, or slow AI down to the speed of significantly manual key management. What do you bet people are going to choose?

Finally reading about the coldcard hack This is some real spooky action at a distance shit. Feel bad for the people affected but also kinda amazed at how the math works allowing this exploit. Literally nothing you could do to prevent funds just teleporting away. https://wizardsardine.com/blog/coldcard-rng-vulnerability/

I’m interested in a general compute version of this proposition abstracted away from details of blockchains. Perhaps: Logic > long-term memory > …DRAM > “HBM” > register memory HBM in scare quotes because I don’t mean the specific hardware standard but anything at that level in the memory hierarchy. Feels like the scalability basically tracks memory hierarchy in proportion to latency, with memoryless logic as the cheapest thing?

Alex Honnold randomly climbing Taipei skyscraper while world is crashing and burning is a nice boss non sequitur move. Fully narrative capture resistant but can still compete for headlines with Greenland, Davos, Minneapolis, Clawd, etc. and win. Life goes on outside the narratives that try to corner attention.
