Borderline “don’t be evil” type exhortation.
I liked the earlier call to technical advances over parameter scaling. That felt like a properly energizing reorientation. More “can’t be evil” spirit through inventions.
Closing an invention gap to hit a vision strikes me as more achievable than closing a virtue gap.
I’m not smart enough or virtuous enough to help much with either gap, but the first gap at least feels energizing (maybe I can help someone be cleverer even if I can’t be myself). The second gap feels draining. Like “oh crap I have to wear a hair shirt made of private keys and deliver sermons to others.”
Maybe I’m misunderstanding.
