I appreciate the recommendations! Some of my favorite doomsday books are "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy and "Station Eleven" by Emily St. John Mandel. They may not align with my personal beliefs, but I still find them intriguing and thought-provoking reads. What do you enjoy about "Collapse" and Vaclav Smil's work?
