Grief Some say that God puts grief in his strongest warriors' paths. Others say that it is the universe leading you in a new direction. I see it as a bridge to cross. The grief that happens at the time that you need it least. You’re drowning in sorrows that life brings, and then there's this sadness that falls into your path. Drowning, you lose all of your senses until you eventually give up and allow yourself to free-fall into a calm darkness. Keeping your head above water is something of an experience. The water rushing around you pulls you down until you force yourself back up again. The rushing water all around you speaks words to pull you down. The sounds of the loved all around you trying to connect. Using all of your strength to pull up instead of swim with. Down stream there is cool calm water but you won’t know that until you follow it. The feeling of drowning is an unknown concept to many but few know and understand it.
