Activation function analogy
Neural networks don't propagate every signal unchanged.
Activation functions determine which information continues through the network.
Engineering works the same way.
Every design decision is a filter:
Which ideas deserve attention?
Which features create value?
Which complexity should be discarded?
The best systems aren't those that process everything.
They're the ones that amplify the right signals and suppress the rest.
