Tokens that confer true governance rights can be powerful tools for aligning stakeholders. They allow diverse participants — from developers to users — to shape the project’s direction. However, this only works if governance processes are transparent, votes are verifiable, and outcomes are enforced. Without these, governance tokens risk becoming ceremonial rather than functional assets in the ecosystem.
