GM - have been absolutely obsessed with turkish helva lately and decided to make it at home! of course, completely dairy-free 😼

my most recent one from last night is the near perfect base i was looking for- smooth, soft, sweet and wonderfully even. what’s next is figuring out flavourings! :D

goals are: make the deep rich chocolate helva, a lotus biscuit flavoured helva, and a pistachio one for my mom <3

do try making it if you can! you’ll love the texture 😋

it’s made with semolina, so yes it does have a somewhat grainy texture! 
you can make halva in general though with different types of flours if that’s more your forte- including semolina flour! it would come out less grainy and more thick :)
