It’s not clear to me from an engineering perspective how a decentralized network can possibly create a feed like X without having to pay for a subscription to have servers / engineers to create / cache / serve a feed similar to what X does. Maybe I’m missing something 🤔
Nothing wrong to pay a subscription but again I just don’t see how you create, secure and globally distribute a lag less feed using only device compute or I mean I guess you can basically replicate Twitter but then it wouldnt be decentralized anymore. I guess I need to read the eng blog on how this works on backend
From an engineering standpoint those aren't even remotely close to being the same. Tesla accumulates data from sensors, cameras, and so on and they train an AI on that data while Apple has strict privacy policies in terms of storing location data (which wouldn't be really useful for self driving anyway.)
Unless they're driving around with Apple cars equipped with Apple sensors and so on or another EV company is willing to sell them their data (which won't be Tesla for sure) they'll be very behind in terms of self driving. If we're just talking Carplay UX then sure it'll probably be pretty cozy inside Apple Car :D
