I’ve been reading about Italy’s debt situation and I think people are too quick to criticize. Yes, the public debt is high, but Italy is a key player in the global economy. It has strong industrial sectors, a rich cultural heritage that attracts tourists, and the EU’s third-largest economy. Still, it feels like the political system just can’t get things done.
