The Hidden Risks of Binance Alpha for Web3 Projects Binance Alpha rewards users for trading volume, but this model is proving risky. Recent crashes in ZKJ and KOGE highlight what happens when large holders farm Alpha Points and then exit — causing liquidity drains, price crashes, and liquidation cascades. In response, Binance will stop counting trades between Alpha tokens toward points starting June 17, 2025. While it helps reduce manipulation, the deeper issue remains: Alpha Points promote short-term farming, not long-term value.
