Held on the full moon of November, Loy Krathong is one of Thailand’s most beautiful festivals. People release small floating baskets (krathongs) decorated with flowers, incense, and candles into rivers. This act symbolizes letting go of grudges, bad luck, and negativity. It’s visually stunning—the sight of thousands of glowing baskets drifting across dark waters is unforgettable. While it has religious roots, today it’s also a festival of romance, with couples releasing krathongs together as a wish for lasting love.
