Hello Base app 👋
It’s been 2 weeks since my first post, and without a doubt, the hardest. Most days were clouded with “How am I going to do this?” But I kept forcing myself to say just take 1 more step forward than think about the next. I focused on fitness and reading. Fitness came easy; the physical pain numbed the emotional. Reading was harder because my mind drifted to the past, shame, and fear. I cried daily until 2 days ago, often shaking with anxiety. Friends and family helped, but most of the time it was just me and my thoughts. Books I read: Relentless (Grover), Can’t Hurt Me (Goggins), Atomic Habits (Clear) and now I’m hooked and have 30 more lined up. I improved my running from 1.7 to 2.6 miles, hit the gym 5x a week, and built a small foundation of doing more each day. Some days were harder, but I’m improving. I registered for fall classes, step one toward law school. And lastly traded my way from $200 to $3,000. 🙂↕️
One of the best strategies to stay committed and organized that I’ve recently discovered was to have a hand written list of your schedule. It’s simple, yet very effective for me.
Finally got my account back! Life Update 1. Finished my 1st semester back in school with straight As. 2. Got picked in the draw to run a half marathon. 3. Still in the trenches.
