In web2, the content is the value we give to the followers, but in web3 it doesn’t feel like it.
I see creators with millions of followers on IG and TikTok getting zero likes or traction here and it’s clear onboarding web2 influencers and large accounts is not enough for this space. Without endorsements and support from the platform, there’s little attention and they’ll eventually miss the point of being here.
There’s an expectation on the creator to bring value in the form of liquidity, onboarding people, making content about crypto (not just their niche) making partnerships with crypto projects. And I get it: we’re in a crypto trading space.
But I don’t know if in that scenario we are ready to bring regular creators to our platforms with the promise of making their content creation sustainable.
What do you think?
