Yesterday is an important day for the entire ecosystem.
Neynar is officially taking over Farcaster, and it looks less like a takeover and more like a logical continuation of the journey.
Neynar has long been the backbone of Farcaster's infrastructure.
API, indexing, stability - most of the products and builders have relied on them for years. Now this is formalized not only de facto, but also de jure.
It is especially valuable that:
• the network remains builder-first;
• there are no sudden moves or "closures";
• the focus is on building, launching, and earning without killing openness.
Respect to the @neynar team and everyone who has developed Farcaster from within over the years.
It is a rare case when the infrastructure is in the hands of those who truly understand the ecosystem.
I have been rooting for this stage and continue to do so. It could get very interesting from here on out 👀🔥
