i fucking hate the expression “real world use case”

as opposed to what exactly? 

fake world? unreal world? ding dong boomer world?

For crypto specifically I think it’s helpful to label non-real word as such because the use case is self-referential in that it relies on the pre-existing value prop and doesn’t extend it. Ie you have to be a crypto bull to accept the use case is relevant. No?

“There is a technology with a value prop that has a set of assumptions and an explanation. A real world use case truly extends the explanation/evidence and doesn’t simply rely on it.” Something like that?
