Working full time on my thing for the last 8 months I realized these things: 1. Take a day and bond with people other than work. Mental health is key. 2. Don’t skip exercise. Doing CrossFit the last two years on a cadence have boosted my social and physical state. 3. Talk to your love ones. Call mom or dad sometimes. 4. Don’t skimp on sleep. She is the bedrock that carries us through 5. Aim to eat right and make some food sometimes. Take can do a recking . 6. As an engineer, I find taking a 5-10 mins walk after lunch really helps. 7. Structure your day where you do your hard tasks on your best energy level. Mine is during the day so I code then and do emails in the afternoon. 8. Write things down. It’s certainly nice to look back and see what you have accomplished. Keep your daily tasks short. I do three tasks and a stretch.
