Agreed. New adaptive instincts will emerge in everyone in a hot minute, like cognitively filtering out “sponsored” content in ones mind. I don’t even see ads anymore. If its not human, no spectacle counts. Who cares. Image drain. I exclude from this, genuine human artistry amplified by new AI tools
but like all art of worth, it will be the hard won progression into genuine novelty that is worthy of attention that matters
as it’s always been. Resonance with depth, in particular the depth of the conscious of the artist, I think, will remain the hallmark of great art. Particularly if the level of consciousness is higher than the viewer’s, and thereby, even for a brief moment, transporting one to a new & higher level - this is what makes “great” great. Transcendence. Merely flooding the zone with the latest “paint set” trinkets is just novelty grifting, and the countdown on the half life of that has started. The collective immune system has begun - your post @trish evidences it.

I love this. And agree with you especially the parts of AI I like. I’ve always been particularly put off by “punking” content. This feels like that but worse
