Couldn't agree more. This is why I don't subscribe to the "revealed behavior" model for product design. Current revealed behavior is a vestige of broken and unhealthy practices that have conditioned us to behave in ways that are actively bad for ourselves and society as a whole. We have to build things that change behavior, not things that tap into current unhealthy behaviors.
