tbh pretty much every campaign has some incentive bc the financial aspect is deeply intertwined with this industry. and if there isn't an explicit incentive there's likely some speculative component which is still financially driven. *that said* IMO these incentives will: - become more targeted and smarter over time - reduce over time in a way where the balance between the financial incentives for the average participant will be small enough where users will focus more on other drivers and motivators biased but Pudgy Penguins sorta checks those boxes in the sense that there are a lot of followers/fans that aren't aware of the token and NFTs, and just like the characters and content and engage with it regularly also established CEXs/DEXs to a degree since they're more of a utility. You gotta use at least one i'm sure there's more examples but can't think of any off the top of my head ATM haha

Airdrops will trend toward advertisements at the limit. Large airdrops are the result of poor targeting tools. Inefficient spend for the project (but very good if you're in the lucky few that got a big one). Reality is projects are trying to bootstrap usage and rentention. You want to maximize $ for usage. And retroactive doesn't really solve retention. Finally, if you increase the number of tokens by 1000x, there's less money to chase each airdrop. So market caps detached from fundamentals (and other low float high FDV gimmicks) will be far less common. Will take a while for this to shift, but expect the median airdrop to get smaller over time (with more people getting them).
