I was at the bus stop this morning when a woman sitting next to me suddenly started talking about how stressful her day was going to be. I listened for a while, and then she looked at me and said, “Thanks for letting me vent, it feels a little better now.” It reminded me how just being there for someone, even in silence, can make a difference in their day.
