The US government may begin purchasing Bitcoin for a national reserve.
Cathy Wood, founder of investment firm Ark Invest, said that the US government may soon begin directly purchasing Bitcoin to create a strategic national reserve.
Some reserves already exist, but they were formed primarily through confiscated assets rather than market purchases.
Wood attributes this move to political and economic motives, particularly the desire to strengthen the US position in the global financial system.
