oooo, I love these people. 😏 They are signaling to you that youre powerful-- basically next time all you have to do is think-at-them and you can watch him squirm! Some people would be fun to be at a poker table with, iykwim!
I agree with other commenters that next time you will know the protocol--
And if I notice someone I ALWAYS try to acknowledge them, same as you did. Even if they hate my guts-- I will be kind to a fault but I will not be nice unless its earned.
