A new FIP is out that encodes the validator set in a central location! This is practically a measure to minimize coordination when the validator set changes, but it also is a step towards formalizing validator governance https://github.com/farcasterxyz/protocol/discussions/277

Channels are landing on the protocol! We're planning to anchor channel ownership as ENS-style NFTs. Excited to announce that we're onboarding our first snapchain validator node from @unooo.eth! Over the coming weeks and months we'll continue adding more validator nodes operated by folks in the /farcaster community. If you're running a node, be sure to upgrade to the latest release, v0.11.5 before February 23. /degen is now proposing and voting on snapchain blocks and gives us 2 community-operated validators, alongside /uno! With that, /neynar has gone from operating ~83% of nodes (5/6) to operating ~71% of nodes (5/7) Who else wants in?
