Altcoin Season Update (2026)
As of now, the crypto market is NOT in a confirmed altcoin season.
The Altcoin Season Index is currently around 27–35, which is considered “Bitcoin season” territory.
For a true altseason, the index needs to be above 75 (meaning most altcoins outperform Bitcoin).
Current Market Structure
Bitcoin dominance remains relatively high (~56–60%), showing that capital is still concentrated in BTC.
Altcoins are not broadly outperforming BTC yet, although some sectors show early strength.
Market sentiment has recently been cautious, with periods of low risk appetite and capital rotation back into Bitcoin.
