Iceland just recorded mosquitoes for the first
time ever. Scientists confirmed three cold-tolerant
"Culiseta annulata" in Kjós near Reykjavik this week.
The country was famously mosquito-free, and it is still unclear if these newcomers can handle winter.
For now, Antarctica is the only place left with zero mosquitoes.
Icelanders already brave summer swarms of midges, but this is a whole new buzz.
Would you still visit in peak season?
