Introducing Our Newest Game Format: BITCOIN BLOCKS — ROUND #1
TL;DR:
Guess how many transactions will be included in the next Bitcoin block (Next block: #905242). Closest guess wins. Post your guess in the comments below. That’s it!
EXTENDED VERSON:
🧠 How It Works:
Every 10 minutes (on average), a new Bitcoin block is mined. Your goal is to predict the number of transactions it will include. The next projected block (for this current round) is Block #905242.
To play:
- Wait for the start of a new round (this post is Round #1).
- Comment your guess below — e.g., "3,215".
- When the next Bitcoin block is mined, the closest guess wins.
📊 Transaction Counts:
Bitcoin blocks typically contain between 2,000–4,000 transactions — but this varies. The last 4-5 blocks have had between 4000-4500 transactions, for instance. To help you guess, you can check out live forecasts at:
(Remember, Mempool forecasts aren’t always accurate — many factors can change the final count!)
🧠 Strategy Tips:
- This is a player vs. player game — guesses are public.
- You can wait to see what others guess… but don’t wait too long!
- Guesses must be posted at least 1 minute before the next block is mined. If the block comes early, and you're too late — you're out!
⚠️ No editing or deleting guesses. If you delete and repost, you’ll be disqualified.
