creators of farcaster, let’s play a game of Would You Rather (I’m trying to see something) WYR: 1) See 200 people mint your content for a total of 800 mints, & make $250 in rewards after platform fees etc OR 2) See 200 people mint your content only one time each, but you make $600 in rewards. Show your work!

Everyone is saying 2 for the money, 2 is the better choice. But 2 is also the better choice for the buyer. Lower total supply of content = better secondary market conditions

I just want people to mint. I’m not picky.

i’m picking option 1. option 2 gives you more money now, but option 1 might plant better seeds for the long game.

#1 all day for something like an open edition/1155. Those 200 people could potentially turn into the full 800 individuals from secondary/sharing with friends (unlikely to get 800 unique holders this way, but anything is possible). More the merrier. And then put out good, consistent content that people want and that other $600 will show up eventually in another form.

What if you flipped it… 800 mints from 800 people but only $100? Would that change anything?

What would be nice is if mint number was by willingness to pay and not by speed. Id rather have my top fan own copy #1 for $500, and the rest pay less for copies #2 through whatever.

2 is better because each one becomes a 1/1 of a kind despite being an edition while it makes the creator more money. All in all a mix of both can be run multiple times and see response.

Option 2 — because with the same 200 people, you’re earning 2.5x more. That means higher-quality supporters who truly value your work. It’s a stronger foundation for long-term growth and building a loyal community.

1) for generative work 2) for 1/1 work. But all in all if the creator rewards are better for 2 then that’s the best option I’ll say.

If this is multiple events then 1 as return collectors. If it is for a single mint then 2 as higher income and more incentive for individuals not to list meaning more likely to find true value.
