Saw some folks moving funds out of their warplets in protest so I decided to join in… and do the exact opposite by sending more dry powder IN to mine. Why? - Because I like it here. - Because it’s still the best place to surface interesting apps by based builders, and app coins that let me bet on those builders early - Because I have always felt supported and rewarded for the energy I have brought here, both from the team (@dwr @v @linda @horsefacts.eth) and the communities I’ve curated (/yellow, @betrmint) - Because I know pmf mazes are borderline impossible and I’m here for all the onchain experiments - Because by and large, social networks are what you imagine them to be - Because I think a lot of this negative sentiment is misplaced ire at the past few months of down-only price action when we’re “supposed to be” in a bull market Obviously nobody is perfect and missteps can happen. So can miscommunications and mishandlings. But at the end of the day, Farcaster is still one of the coziest corners on the new internet, with some of the greatest people and most abundant opportunities, and imo it’s important not to miss the forest for a few trees. It’s good to give feedback and constructive criticism, or to contribute to the network in ways you’d like to see it grow, but dunking for the sake of dunking doesn’t really move the needle. I still believe this is one of the best places to hang out in all of crypto, and I’m committed to doing my part to keep making it BETR. 🫡
