I've observed that lot of people who think they are getting "throttled" by Claude Code are just unaware of the massive context they are building up as they work on the same project tab across multiple days.
**How to free up room without creating a new project:**
In Claude Code run "/context" to check. If usage > 50%, I do these two steps:
"1. Give me a detailed handoff plan to get a new Claude agent up to speed and let them know our upcoming roadmap.
2. /compact"
^ The "/compact" action frees up a ton of space, by clearing messages and replacing with a powerful summary. After running, message the same project tab with Handoff plan Claude just made for you there (since it has been cleared).
Now can proceed on the same project with much greater speed + 99% of the Context you need.
