I helped my dad navigate a scary health thing by using GPT as a companion.
It was amazing.
1. Dumped my dad’s symptoms in and discovered what tests should be run.
2. Asked the doctor for a test now when they said “let’s give it a couple weeks and see”
3. Test was definitive: surgery needed.
4. Dumped the test results and doctor feedback and figured out list of questions to ask to discover what surgical option we should choose and how to know which surgeon to trust.
5. Chose our surgeon and treatment path.
We’re super happy with the doctor and upcoming path. It takes so much anxiety out of the situation.
I’ve never experienced medicine like this before — where you feel you are in the drivers seat, and not constantly pushed to the side.
Very hopeful we can find a way to extend this kind of diagnostic experience to everyone, of every income level.
