@tldr
There's a lot, and it all kind of came at once.
The most important reasons were macro: how hard we bet on The Base App (RIP), as well as Farcaster our core community being downstream of Farcaster DAU, and both of these pivoting in the same week as a very bearish general crypto downturn were basically like being reset to zero, from a momentum side.
We also had important personnel issues within our team (not dramatic, but quite critical) that was going to have to cause us to meaningfully restructure the core team.
In these circumstances, it was just felt like it didn't make sense.
(Add on to all this that the "opportunity cost" for each of us who could be building powerful things in pure AI, without all this baggage, and that made it even less sensible to try to resurrect Lazarus.)
