I stood on my favorite beach a few years ago; it was once immaculate but was now covered in plastic debris. I spent my childhood summers at this beach, which brought home the personal impact of environmental issues and climate change. I met a variety of folks who were all working to save our beloved beach when I joined a local cleanup group.
