what's your favorite portable speaker with EXCELLENT sound? i'm looking at teenage engineering OB-4, wonder if it's a little too delicate for my hikes and stuff tho

JBL and UE make really durable stuff. Battle tested on the pedicabs for years. Getting kicked everyday and rained on regularly. And the sound competes with traffic so that's worth something. I used a Bose Bluetooth speaker and it was very durable but decidedly worse sound quality

i wouldn't bring an OB-4 to many places. get a small bose, those are reliable, great sound and build quality.

I use a Soundcore Motion+ not the very best but it’s pretty solid sound, long battery life and affordable ~60€ https://www.soundcore.com/de/products/a3116011?variant=37682742493357

I have JBL flip5, maybe a little bulky for hikes, but it is a great brand, good sound, not expensive, water resistant and the battery lasts quite a lot! I use it in my car that everything but the radio, makes a sound 🤣 🤣
