I don't think there is any value in having a higher education diploma if a person doesn't work in the field he was taught in the modern world, narrow skills are more needed if you have a regular job and a broad outlook if it's a creative job, that is, universities provide more socialization and acquaintance with the adult world if there wasn't one before, namely as an intermediate stage to future work, IMHO I don't consider it
